George Whitesides along with his team at Harvard University is developing bendy, lego-like blocks. This new product is known as click-e-bricks which refer to fundamentally bendable plastic elastomeric bricks that can make a sea change in the future construction industry. The flexibility of the bricks help in producing cylinders, arches and even a Mobius strip.
At present, the blocks are in beta testing stage but it is expected that in due course the bricks will be applied as self-replicating robots which can construct things on their own.
With this new technology, the construction professionals will be able to make efficient, instant repairs across diversified industries.
