The Forthcoming Estimating Courses In July And September By CIIA

Registration is now open for the next class of Collision Industry Information Assistance (CIIA) is going to conduct its basic estimating collision repair training course and one can register for the course online.

This fundamental estimating course is specifically planned to facilitate shop or office employees, new estimators and insurance company staff to simplify their estimating process for collision damage on cars and light trucks in Ontario.

The course covers various topics like introduction to estimating, good perception on vehicle construction, basics of estimate writing, gather knowledge on collision manuals, added charges and collision damage analysis.

The course fee is $550 + HST, for each person for CIIA members and $750 + HST, for each person for non-members. One has to make prior payment to attend the course.

Employers will be liable for a total rebate of two-thirds of the course fees. To register their seat, students must contact the CIIA office at 1-866-309-4272 or e-mailing info@ciia.com.

The forthcoming courses will be organized in two full days in Ottawa, Burlington and Toronto.

OTTAWA: Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

BURLINGTON: Friday July 22 and Saturday July 23
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

TORONTO: Friday September 23 and Saturday September 24
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

CIIA is back with its most recognized basic estimating course

Collision Industry Information Assistance (CIIA) is going to relaunch its most recognized basic estimating course. The course program is designed in a manner to facilitate shop or office employees, new estimators and insurance company staff in providing help for estimating collision damage on cars and light trucks in Ontario.


The tenure of the course is for six-night and course fit for four I-CAR points. Course details range from beginning with estimating, conception of vehicle construction, basics of estimate writing, knowledge with collision manuals, additional charges and collision damage analysis.

The initial evening course will  start from September 9th, two classes per week over a three-week period. The total instruction time is 18 hours.

Time & Locations

Burlington
Robert Bateman Secondary School (5151 New Street)
6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Monday and Wednesday evenings, starting from Monday, September 9th 2013.

Brampton
Brampton CARSTAR  (110 Advance Boulevard)
6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Monday and Wednesday evenings, starting from Monday, October 7th 2013.

Toronto
Centennial College (75 Ashtonbee Road)
6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Monday and Wednesday evenings, starting from Monday, November 4th 2013.

The cost for individual Association Members will be $450 including HST. The cost for per Non-Members will be $550 including HST. In order to participate, advance payment should be made.

Students are also eligible to participate. In this regard they have to contact with the Association office at 1-866-309-4272 or e-mailing info@ciia.com.

A complete course over the internet is being arranged to provide training on construction estimation & bidding.

The participants shoud have the following skills :-
Capability to read blue prints
Accustomed to use spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel, Lotus 123, or Quattro Pro
Basic construction knowledge that includes basic math skill, Estimating terminology (quantity take off, unit price, production rate, etc., versed with calculator and
architectural scale

The course will last for 10 week long.

The course fee will vary from $600 for AACE member and $500 for Nonmember
